Community Garden Clean Up
We kicked off the Spring with a community garden clean up for our wellness garden project sponsored by Cedars-Sinai and The Eisner Foundation! So many youth, families, and volunteers came out to clean our growing space along the Ballona Creek bike path. Together, we did an enormous amount of work and we are excited to continue this project in the months ahead! Through this multigenerational project, entire families will be able to work together and learn from one another in a healing environment.
Literacy Fair
On Saturday April 9th we hosted our annual Literacy Fair! It was a huge success, over 200 kids and their families came out to get free books, do arts & crafts, listen to guest readers, and eat pizza! It was so much fun! Huge thanks to all of the volunteers, donors, partners, and friends who made this event possible including: Echo Horizon School, Up Works For Good, Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary Club, ICEF Vista Academy, Bank of America, LMU Creare, and Los Angeles County Library.
Annual Luncheon & Silent Auction
A massive thank you to everyone who came out to our Annual Luncheon & Silent Auction on May 19th at the Beverly Hills Hotel! It was a wonderful event and honored some amazing people; Cedars-Sinai, and Nancy & Jim Gilson. We couldn’t be more grateful for the support from our donors and friends.
