BREAKING NEWS:
Mar Vista Family Center announces a $300,000 Matching Gift from the Fineshriber
Family Foundation.
Every year, 600 children and teens attend MVFC's effective Youth Programs, which
encompass academics, leadership training, college prep, sports and the arts. Hundreds
more youths, who have heard about MVFC's programs, have put their names on our waiting
list, hoping that they too will be able to join.
With the generous help of the Fineshriber Family Foundation Matching Gift, we
now have the incredible opportunity to expand our youth programs by 50%, raising the
number of youths served to 900 per year.
I would like to challenge old and new friends to make a generous donation to help the
youths of our community develop realistic visions and the skills to take responsibility
for life decisions, to reject feelings of powerlessness, to advocate for what they want
and to become responsible community citizens. Your contribution, which will be matched
dollar for dollar by the Fineshriber Family Foundation for the first $300,000 received,
will directly impact hundreds of deserving youths, getting them off of the streets and
into MVFC’s life-changing program.
These youths can't wait!
Thank you,
Lucia Diaz, Chief Executive Officer |
