For the past eight years we’ve hosted a Luncheon & Silent Auction. We’ve celebrated the wonderful programs that low-income families participate in and rely on at MVFC. We’ve honored amazing people over the years, heard from inspirational youth speakers, and of course, the food is always delicious! And thanks to the generous contributions from all of you, we’ve raised funds to help us continue our work.
Although we cannot be together in person this year, the celebration can continue. Join us as we celebrate MVFC’s “Not a Luncheon” Virtual Fundraiser. No need to get dressed up! Look through our page from wherever you may be, enjoy photos from past events, find out what our youth speakers are doing now, learn about the future of MVFC programs, and open your hearts to donate to our fundraiser.

Remember these Inspiring Young People?
Ilda Rodriguez was our youth speaker in 2015. She shared her struggles as an undocumented college student working odd jobs to pay for her education while becoming her own number one advocate. In 2014 she graduated from UCLA earning her BA in History. Ilda now works as a Social Worker for the elderly and disabled.
Vanessa Feliciano was our speaker in 2017 after she had just moved back home to support her family after graduating. She earned her BA with a double major in Sociology and Education from UC Santa Cruz and currently works as a case manager in Los Angeles.
Andrew Olmeda was a senior in high school when he spoke at the 2018 Luncheon. He was about to become the first in his family to graduate high school and go to college. Andrew is now finishing his 2nd year at UC Merced studying Political Science. He has returned to MVFC during summer breaks to help out during summer day camp, and has continued to support MVFC by mentoring young kids.
Braulio Fonseca has been our youth speaker twice. He was our first in 2012, as well as our most recent in 2019. In 2012, Braulio joined us right after completing his AP exam and announced his decision to attend UC Santa Barbara in the Fall. He graduated in 2016 with his B.S. in Computer Engineering. He currently works as a software developer for Sony.
